Being Holy Means Being Renewed in Your Attitude
1st Peter 15 &16 but just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind” (Eph. 4:23 KJV).
If we want to be changed into the image of Jesus, One vital component we must have in our life is that we must act on the Word. Hearing the Word preached, meditating and studying the Word is not enough. What you read and study you must do, in order to be changed into the image of Jesus.

Ephesians 4:17 says, “This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having the understanding darkened. Being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”
We must put away that old lifestyle. Put away your old way of treating your spouse before you were saved. Put away your old way of dating. Put away your old way of handling money. Put away your old way of treating people. Put away the old way in which sinners acts.
We must be renewed in the spirit of our minds. That word spirit means attitude. He said have a new attitude; and let the Word give you that new attitude. A new attitude comes when you get in the Word. The Word will cause you to have an attitude of walking in love with your neighbor. When someone comes against you, you will respond in love.
Walking in love will motivate you to only speak well of others. When you are talking to people you ought to build them up. They should never walk away from you with a bad attitude about themselves or about another person.
Additionally, when you hear the Word preached and take notes, study those notes throughout the week so that you can begin acting on the Word immediately. If you never look at the notes again, James 1:22-24 says you become a forgetful hearer, thereby deceiving yourself.
However, when you renew your mind with the Word of God, and decide to be a doer of the Word, you will be free from any design Satan or the flesh has for you. If you continue in it, you will be blessed in all you do.

Numbers 14:24 NLT – But my servant Caleb has a different attitude than the others have. He has remained loyal to me, so I will bring him into the land he explored. His descendants will possess their full share of that land.
Ephesians 4:22-32 NLT -
Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
James 1:22-25 NLT – But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it, and you will begin to notice ever so subtle changes in your life.
